The Don Carlo San Martino – Rigola Institute welcomes children into a new environment, into relationships with people outside the family unit, and into a new perception of themselves. This welcoming process lays the foundation for school-family collaboration, facilitates the process of “separation” from adults, and consolidates the essential distancing required to begin socialization.
In primary school, we prioritize the child’s personality and their needs for education, instruction, and communication. Children and young people are educated in generosity, acceptance, and sharing through a process of self-identification and the progressive achievement of autonomy. They recognize and develop their inclinations, their cognitive dimension, and their critical and reflective skills, learning to carry out projects, solve problems, and organize information.
Guiding means helping young people to develop, through commitment, patience, and determination, their own personal life project, allowing each individual to value their own aptitudes and express their uniqueness. Guidance begins from the very first entry into the school community and represents, for the child and the young person, a journey of self-knowledge and identity.

From nursery to lower secondary school, we accompany students along a path of training and education.
In the Spring Section, a window of opportunity opens that transforms abilities into skills. It is a transition from knowing how to do things to the awareness of knowing how to do that specific thing.
In our Nursery School, we welcome children and accompany them into a new environment and in their relationships with other students, teaching them to recognize emotions, feelings, and personal needs.
In Primary School, children grow through self-awareness and develop their inclinations, in a journey full of experiences and emotions that lasts 5 years.
In Lower Secondary School, pre-adolescents grow through interaction with others, recognize their potential, develop their aptitudes, and orient themselves toward building a personal life project.
