Services
Training and education are the foundation of a good school, everything a parent expects to find in the facility where they will enroll their child.
Rigola offers this, and much more. School services such as pre- and post-school care, canteen, bus, and many extracurricular workshops, which see children and teenagers engaged at school even after lessons end. To learn, and grow, while having fun.
To facilitate working parents, children can arrive at school at 7:00 AM and stay until 6:30 PM.
Educational, playful, and recreational activities are organized for children in pre- and after-school care, to awaken their curiosity and activate their thinking in the early hours of the morning and to keep them dynamic, clear-headed, and proactive even in the later hours of the afternoon.
The Rigola canteen is a service managed directly by the school’s qualified staff: every day, healthy and tasty lunches are prepared internally for our children. Nutrition is a fundamental element in the growth of every individual, which is why we pay great attention to the definition of the menu and the preparation of food, in order to guarantee the right intake of calories and nutrients for children and teenagers. Naturally, the dishes are prepared according to local ASL (Local Health Authority) directives and qualified through a nutritional education program.
As an initiative to raise awareness about healthy, balanced, and varied nutrition, once a month we promote the “party menu”: an excellent opportunity to discover new recipes!
Rigola provides children and teenagers with a school bus service serving Besana Brianza and neighboring towns: Triuggio, Montesiro, Casatenovo, Monticello B.za, Renate/Cassago, Veduggio/Capriano, Visconta, Valle Guidino.
Every year the school evaluates requests and studies itineraries capable of offering a functional service, in compliance with regulations regarding road safety and the transport of minors.

The history
Rigola, which today is a Private Comprehensive Institute (Istituto Comprensivo Paritario) including the spring section, nursery school, primary school, and lower secondary school, has a long and fascinating history behind it.
In 1885, Don Carlo San Martino founded the Pio Istituto pei Figli della Provvidenza in Milan, with the intent of building a serene and welcoming environment for young people in difficulty.
The environments
The site of the Rigola school, whose original core dates back to the seventeenth century, is surrounded by a fine Italian garden and has large outdoor and indoor spaces: courtyards for outdoor play, halls for recreation, dining rooms, a theater room, gym, reading rooms, multimedia classrooms, science, art, and language laboratories, and a chapel. The ancient oratory of the Madonna della Neve is located in the park.
