Theater lab
The artistic experience in its different channels is now more common to find within children’s cultural panorama.
Part of the artistic-expressive labs, the project Education to Theatricality (theatre lab) stems from the belief that drama at school offers great opportunities for personal growth and knowledge of self within the relations establishing when adults and kids share significant experiences.
The lab is led by Literacy/Italian teachers, who have attended specialisation courses at the university and have experienced the activities themselves.
From early years it’s easier to communicate and express ones’ emotions interpreting and dramatising theatrical characters. Theatre practices favour the overcoming of problematic situations which can typically arise in the stages of growth – such as shyness or excessive aggressiveness.
Drama is a training for facing real life and read everyday situations in a non-everyday dimension, thus rich in examples and prompts for interpreting life. The understanding and use of theatrical language create fully human situations which support students in shaping their personality and with orientation.
