{"id":5704,"date":"2025-10-10T03:48:45","date_gmt":"2025-10-10T01:48:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rigola.doncarlosanmartino.org\/girarigola-2025-a-celebration-of-community-tradition-and-the-future\/"},"modified":"2025-10-10T03:48:45","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T01:48:45","slug":"girarigola-2025-a-celebration-of-community-tradition-and-the-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rigola.doncarlosanmartino.org\/en\/girarigola-2025-a-celebration-of-community-tradition-and-the-future\/","title":{"rendered":"Girarigola 2025: A celebration of community, tradition, and the future"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday, October 5, under a beautiful sun and pleasant weather, a new edition of <strong>Girarigola<\/strong> took place\u2014the event that every year brings together the school, families, and the local area for a day of walking, discovery, and sharing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Over 800 people<\/strong> participated: families with young children, middle school students, grandparents, friends, and even many dogs on leashes\u2014all protagonists of a joyful and colorful journey, immersed in a festive atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s edition featured a <strong>new itinerary<\/strong> of approximately five kilometers that passed through the area surrounding the school: half on asphalt and half immersed in nature, following sections of the <strong>Greenway<\/strong> and the <strong>Magna Longa<\/strong> route.<br \/>\nAlong the walk, five eighth-grade students acted as <strong>&#8220;ciceroni&#8221;<\/strong> (guides), sharing legends, curiosities, and small fragments of local history.<br \/>\nTo make the experience even more vivid, participants could read <strong>popular sayings in the Brianza dialect<\/strong> along the way, accompanied by their translations\u2014a way to rediscover the roots and language of the territory.<\/p>\n<p>Upon returning, the school was transformed into a <strong>true fair<\/strong>: food stalls, games, and entertainment welcomed adults and children alike.<br \/>\nPizza and focaccia from <em>Alice Bakery<\/em>, gelato tastings from <em>Gelateria La Barchetta<\/em>, popcorn, candy, drinks, and bread with Nutella\u2014offered by the school\u2014brought the courtyard to life, along with three stalls of <strong>games made from recycled materials<\/strong>, inspired by the tradition and imagination of our grandparents.<\/p>\n<p>A special contribution came from the <strong>Circolo Culturale Seren della Memoria<\/strong>, which displayed a selection of <strong>historical photographs<\/strong> of the area, printed on rigid panels along the school fence: a visual bridge between past and present.<\/p>\n<p>The central theme of Girarigola 2025 was <strong>&#8220;On Air \u2013 Linea alla rete&#8221;<\/strong> (On Air \u2013 Line to the Network), symbolizing a <strong>living connection between the school and the community<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe main stand, dedicated to the students of <em>Brianza Media<\/em> and specifically to <em>Radio Seveso<\/em>, showed families and students the equipment and techniques for creating a <strong>podcast<\/strong>.<br \/>\nDuring the day, short interviews and segments were recorded that will become the <strong>pilot episode<\/strong> of the project, the starting point for an educational path that will transform students into <strong>young communicators of local history and traditions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The event began at 9:00 AM with the distribution of <strong>colorful t-shirts<\/strong> featuring the school symbol\u2014a river of colors that brightened the streets.<br \/>\nThanks to the support of the <strong>Civil Protection<\/strong> and numerous <strong>volunteers<\/strong>, the event took place in complete safety and serenity.<\/p>\n<p>At the end, each family was given an <strong>&#8220;I <\/strong><strong>\u2764\ufe0f<\/strong><strong> GIRARIGOLA&#8221;<\/strong> bracelet and a <strong>leaflet on the theme of the year<\/strong> as a souvenir of a special day.<\/p>\n<p>This edition of Girarigola, in addition to having <strong>broken all attendance records<\/strong>, represented a moment of strong cohesion and an opportunity to present to families the <strong>vertical and cross-curricular planning<\/strong> that will accompany students and teachers throughout the school year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Sunday, October 5, under a beautiful sun and pleasant weather, a new edition of Girarigola took place\u2014the event that every year brings together the school, families, and the local area for a day of walking, discovery, and sharing.
